How to make stickers of yourself on iPhone.

Your iPhone can already do this, with no extra app. Here's the built-in way, how to make one that moves, and the AI option for reactions you never photographed.

1. Use the Photos app

This works on iOS 17 or later.

  1. Open a photo of yourself in Photos.
  2. Touch and hold yourself until a glow outlines you.
  3. Tap Add Sticker.
  4. Find it in Messages: tap the + button next to the text field, then tap Stickers.

A plain background and a clear pose give the cleanest cut-out. Exaggerated faces also read better, since stickers appear small.

2. Make a sticker that moves

Follow the same steps using a Live Photo, and the sticker can play as a short animation. Good motion here means something simple, like a wave, a shrug or a laugh. Afterward, you can add an effect such as an outline or a puffy look.

3. Generate reaction stickers with AI

This is the one we build. The first two options only show what you actually did on camera. MemeYou takes one selfie and generates reactions you never performed, and each finished GIF also appears as a sticker in Messages.

You choose reactions from preset packs, not your own ideas. Results are generated, so they may not look exactly like you. If you'd rather start with a looping GIF, see how to make a GIF of yourself.
