Funny GIFs of your dog.
Your dog already makes the faces. The hard part is catching them, because dogs don't take direction.

Catching the real thing
A real clip of your real dog will always have something AI can't fake. Here's how to get one.
- Get low. Shoot from your dog's eye level. It's the difference between a pet photo and a portrait.
- Trigger the reaction. Say the word they know. Crinkle the treat bag. Hold something up behind the camera to get the head tilt.
- Film more than you need. Record for 30 seconds and keep the funniest 2. Slow motion helps with shakes, sneezes and zoomies.
- Use Live Photos. Turn them on and take lots of shots. In Photos, set a good one to Loop or Bounce.
- Pick one moment. The funniest GIFs show one thing: the ears going up, or the slow look away.
- Be kind. If your dog is uneasy, stop. Nothing's funny if they're stressed, and never use food or fear in a way that could harm them.
When the camera can't help
You can't ask a dog to gasp in shock. You also can't ask for a deeply judgmental side-eye at the exact moment a friend announces they're getting back with their ex. That's what generated reactions are good for: you start with a photo you already have, and choose the reaction you need.
That's what Pet Drama does in MemeYou. Upload one photo of your own dog and choose from 12 reactions, including Dramatic gasp, Zoomies, The head tilt and Not speaking to you. It's written to keep your dog's look, with real paws, and with no people in the picture.
Which photo of your dog to use
- Face and front in view. Reactions use the eyes, ears and mouth, so they all need to be visible.
- Sitting or lying still. A sharp, calm photo beats an action shot.
- Good light. Dark fur especially needs it, or the eyes get lost.
- Only your dog. Crop out people and other animals. Pet Drama expects one animal.
Your photo is sent to our server and to OpenAI to make the GIFs, and we don't store it on our server. You must be 18 or older to use the app.
What to send them for
A good dog GIF does the talking for you. Dramatic gasp is for news you didn't see coming. Judging you is for a friend's text at 2 a.m. It wasn't me is for owning up, without owning up. And Dramatic flop is for the moment you see Monday's calendar.
Common questions
What's the easiest way to make a GIF of my dog?
If your dog is already doing something funny, film it and convert the clip, or use a Live Photo with the Loop or Bounce effect. If you want a specific reaction on demand, an AI tool can generate one from a photo.
Will the AI GIF really look like my dog?
It's asked to keep the same breed, fur, markings, eye color and collar, but results vary. Expect something close, not perfect, and expect the occasional odd frame.
Does this work with cats?
MemeYou's Pet Drama motions are written for dogs and cats. Our Pet Drama examples include a cat, so you can see how one comes out.
Can I use a photo of someone else's dog?
Not with MemeYou. The rule is your own pet. Sharing a friend's dog can seem harmless, but it's their photo and their dog, so ask them to make their own.
